Using the Microsoft Compact Framework and .net GPS Data Logger 2005 is a simple low cost dual function GPS data logger for the latest version of Pocket PC (2003). A simple interface allows you to both track your progress and record specific points of interest using an editable drop down list of features. Designed for easy one handed use simply choose and press to save your data to file.
Automatically record trip data over days or weeks. Make detailed surveys of topographical features, GIS, boundaries, street furniture, boreholes or any other element for which you wish to store location data. Plot it to CAD or any popular mapping application to produce easy to read graphical representations of your work.The data logger will accept data from any GPS source that outputs standard NMEA strings. Save as much data as you require by changing the frequency of the capture interval. Data is stored to simple text files which can be easily read by virtually any PC.
We have written a program that will convert the raw GPS data to either decimal Latitudes & Longitudes for universal plotting to mapping packages such as MS Map and AutoRoute 2002, it will also convert to the UK OS co-ordinate system for those that require it. Download it for free here
